HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - When UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton went down with a right knee injury a little more than a month ago, there were concerns that he would have his leg amputated - let alone ever play football again.

But earlier this evening, Milton posted a video showing the unthinkable: He was leg-pressing 40 pounds with his right leg at full extension.

The former Mililani Trojan said the following in the Instagram video’s caption:

“Thanking God for the miracles I see everyday in my life. Went from almost losing my leg to leg pressing 40lbs in a little over a month. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. God is definitely at work..it’s gonna be a long process but it’ll be one hell of a story.”

While the road to a full recovery remains a long one, the progress that Milton has made after multiple procedures after suffering nerve damage in his right knee followed by reconstructive knee surgery is nothing short of amazing.
