HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man charged for allegedly trying to sexually assault a woman at the Maui mall was previously convicted of murder, Hawaii News Now has learned.
Police recently arrested Raymond Birano Jr. after he allegedly forced a woman at knifepoint, into a bathroom stall at Queen Kaahumanu Center.
The woman was able to get away.
Birano, who served nearly 3 decades in prison, is now charged with kidnapping and attempted sex assault.
Court records show he also served time for assault and escape.
