Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i’s New Year’s ‘Ohana Festival

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - As part of its New Year’s tradition, the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i (JCCH) will celebrate 2019 with the 26 th Annual New Year’s ‘Ohana Festival. The fun-filled festival will feature food, crafts, entertainment and cultural demonstrations. This year the festival will feature more than a dozen food vendors including favorites such as okonomiyaki, KC Waffle Dog, shave ice, and andagi to name a few. There will also be dozens of craft vendors, games for children, kimono dressing, mochi pounding, and martial arts demonstrations. There will be a packed schedule of entertainment on two stages! The New Year’s ‘Ohana Festival will be a great way for the community to come together and celebrate the Year of the Boar in 2019! You won’t want to miss this annual tradition as we mark 26 years of celebrating the New Year.
