HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Rainbow Warrior freshman quarterback has elected to transfer to a junior college. Hawaii head coach Nick Rolovich confirmed Moussa’s decision with Hawaii News Now this afternoon. He did not want to provide any further comment.
Moussa, who appeared in two games during the 2018 season, was an early enrollee for the Warriors back in January of last year. He completed 4-of-9 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in his cameo appearances this season.
After competing during the spring and in training camp for the starting job under center, Moussa was seemingly the third-string quarterback throughout the season.
Rolovich said on multiple occasions throughout the year that Moussa possessed a “Division-I arm” and had the most powerful arm on the roster.
Hawaii returns Cole McDonald and Chevan Cordeiro at the top of the depth chart. On early signing day, the Warriors also signed three-star recruit Zach Wilson out of Houston, who will be in the mix next season.
