Big Island police are investigating why mailbox doors are being left open in Hilo.

HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island Police are asking the public to help identify someone who may be taking mail out of mailboxes in the Sunrise Ridge subdivision of Hilo.

Police say mailbox doors on Kalanikoa Street are being left open in the evening to early morning hours.

Investigators don't know if anything has been stolen.
